Biography
About Richard Stanzel
The clarinet is my voice – music my language.
Richard Stanzel, born in Vöcklabruck in 1985, decided after his first professional years as a chemical process engineer to turn his greatest passion into a profession: music. This was followed by clarinet studies with Prof. Alois Brandhofer at the Mozarteum Salzburg and university conducting training with Prof. Maurice Hamers in Augsburg.
He is a member of the University Orchestra Mozarteum Salzburg, the Georgian Chamber Orchestra, and the Chamber Orchestra of St. Peter's Abbey, and was a soloist with the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic in 2016. As a multiple prize winner of the Upper Austrian Chamber Music Competition and a graduate of numerous master classes, he enthusiastically shares his experience today - as a musician, composer, and teacher.
